Three Mad Days in Cologne

‘Three Mad Days’ is how the locals rightly refer to their carnival in Cologne. The spirit of carnival reigns in the streets and public squares for 3 days and 3 nights after being declared open at ‘Alter Markt’. The main highlight of this event is ‘Rosenmontage’ (Rose Monday), the day of the main procession featuring the key carnival figures; Prince, Peasant and Maiden. Enjoy the craziness that will surround you in the streets, in the pubs and even in your hotel. Join in the dress up and disguise yourself in whatever takes your fancy however wild and wacky it may be, this is your chance to be as outrageous as you like, because after all half the fun is to be as unrecognisable as possible! More than sample the local beer as you pub crawl your way from one party to another and celebrate the merriment with fellow carnival goers from around the world. You will be in a centrally located hotel where you can rest after a day and night of partying and refresh yourself, ready to start all over again the following morning!
