The Battle of the Bulge 4 Day Tour

Day 1.
This morning we drive from Brussels to the Henri Chapelle ABMC cemetery to pay our respects to the fallen. We then take a look at the Battle for the North Shoulder. We begin in Butgenbach the HQ of the 99th Infantry Division. We then drive to the Wahlerscheid Road Junction captured by the 2nd Infantry Division. From here we drive to Purple Heart Corner and the positions of the 3rd Battalion 393rd Infantry. We then move on to Losheimergraben which was defended by the 1st Battalion 394th Infantry. Next we drive to Lanzerath defended by the I+R Platoon 394th Infantry. After lunch in Bullingen we drive through Hunnningen,Murringen then onto the Twin Villages of Krinkelt Rocherath. We visit the western side of the Krinkelterwald after which we visit the Lausdell road junction. We then drive to the Twin Villages and the monuments of the 2nd and 99th Infantry Divisions. Following this we drive to the Elsenborn Ridge defended staunchly by the American infantry. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Today we follow the route of the Kampfgruppe Peiper. We begin in Scheid then drive through Losheim to Lanzerath. We then visit Honsfeld where numerous American POW's were murdered. Onto Bullingen where you hear the story of Service Battery 924th FA Battalion. We then drive through Moderscheid, Faymonville and Waimes where you hear the story of Karl Lemaire. Next we stop at Baugnez and the monument to the 285th FA Battalion. We visit the new Museum where we also have lunch. We then drive on to Ligneuville and La Vaux Richard and Stavelot where the Germans murdered American POW's and civilians. We pause in Parfondruy where the Germans killed civilians then move onto Trois Ponts and the monument to the 505th Parachute Infantry of the 82nd Airborne Division. Onto La Gleize. Here we visit the museum after which we drive to Cheneux captured by Colonel Reuben Tucker's 504th Parachute Infantry from SS troops of the Kampfgruppe Peiper. The Neufmoulin Bridge and the Engineer monument. We then drive to Stoumont Station where the Kampfgruppe was stopped. We then visit Stoumont where you see the former St Edouard Sanatorium after which we see the Chateau de Froid Cour. Overnight.
Day 3. We drive to the Losheim Gap village of Manderfeld then onto Krewinkel defended briefly by men of Troop C 18th Cvalry Squadron. We then drive to the crest of the Schnee Eifel and the positions of the 422nd and 423rd Infantry Regiments. We then drive to Bleialf held, lost and retaken by the 424th Infantry. We pass the Engineer cut off then enter Schoenberg to see where over 7000 men of the 106th Infantry Division were captured. Next we drive to the Eric Fisher Wood monument in the woods near Wallerode. We return to the main road and visit the Prummerberg Hill defended by the 81st and 168th Engineer Combat Battalions. (Lunch in St. Vith.) We then drive to Vielsalm where engineers of the 82nd Airborne Division blew the bridges over the Salm River. We continue onto Salmchateau where the 508th Parachute Infantry held the lines. . Onto Trois Ponts held the 505th Parachute Infantry under Colonel Vandervoort. Overnight
Day 4. Drive to Prescheid then onto Dasburg where 2nd Panzer Division crossed the Our River. Visit Dasburg defended by men of the 110th Infantry. Onto Clervaux the 110th Infantry HQ. Drive to Antoniushof and Feitch defended by two American task forces. Continue to Longvilly defended by soldiers of Team Cherry then drive to Magaret and Bizory (held by soldiers of the 501st Parachute Infantry.) See the monument to Company E of the 506th Parachute Infantry. Visit Foy and Noville. Noville was defended by Team Desobry and soldiers of the 1st Batalion 506th Parachute Infantry. We then drive onto the Mardasson museum and monument. Onto the village of Marvie then to the lines of the 327th Glider Infantry where German emissaries came with their surrender demand. We then visit the Heintz barracks were General MacAuliffe gave his famous reply of "Nuts". We then visit the village of Neffe HQ of Team Cherry whose headquarters were buned out and the personnel pulled out supported by soldiers of the 501st Parachute Infantry. We visit the village of Hemroulle defended by men of Major John Hanlon's battallion. We then head for the Chateau de Rolle defended by Lt.Col. Steve Chappuis 502nd Parachute Infantry. Next we move on to Hompre and follow the route taken by the 37th Tank battlion 4th Armored Division which relieved Bastogne. Return to Brussels.
